I have decided to dedicate a post on Thursday to therapy, and offer you the many tips I have learned on the couch. They will be a good reminder for me, as well, of something small I can concentrate on. Many of them are published in my book, “The Pocket Therapist: An Emotional Survival Kit.”
Why?
An eagle knows that a storm is approaching long before the storm comes. He will hoist himself way up high and wait for the winds to come. Then, when the storm arrives, he steers his wings so that the wind will raise him up and lift him above the storm. While the squall thunders below, the eagle is gliding above it. He hasn’t dodged the storm. He has simply used the fierce winds to lift him higher.

This is exactly what I need to hear at the moment. Work politics, power struggles, manipulation and opportunism is really getting me down. I need to rise above it or at least buffer it!

Thanks for the eagle visual. I so needed that today. I just left a very long comment to you but the system ate it. Thank you also for the prayers…I knew 3 of them and added the rest to my list. I pray that you can find your peace. I know of the depression monster, the fibro monster, the cancer monster and the chronic fatigue syndrome monster and there is strength if we all hold hands and stick together. Ness.
