American barbarism, civilization, and decadence (and Star Trek)
I came across a lengthy excerpt online from the book, "The Next Hundred Years: A Forecast for the 21st Century" by George Friedman and found it quite insightful.
I say this as someone who probably is indeed an American barbarian by the definition of the passage; I do believe that there do exist u

Come on, bro, we don’t know the details of Liam Neeson’s spiritual journey. We can’t conclude that he’s “not” going to become Muslim, or that it’s “unlikely.” There’s no basis for it in his comment. He said the beautiful mosques and azan makes him think about becoming Muslim, so he might or might not embrace Islam. No one fully knows except for him and Allah. Why not just leave it at that?

Liam Neeson should NOT convert to Islam. Liam Neeson should become a Hindu. Liam Neeson is uncircumcised. Zakk Wylde should convert to Islam. Zakk Wylde was raised Catholic but he should convert to Islam. Besides he has a circumcised you know what.

Why would anyone think Jack Sparrow, a vicious pirate and enslaver was a role model?
