I agree that most of what we concern ourselves with pales in comparison to the concerns of raising a kid in Israel today. I really enjoyed reading that piece you linked to. That said, a really good friend of mine who is an oncologist told me that 70% of cancers could be prevented by exposing ourselves to the sun. She claims that all the hype of telling us to use sunscreen is what caused so much cancer. She is, by the way, a brilliant woman who is not into alternative medicine. Her recommendation is to be in the sun for a while and cover up with clothes before you burn.
