Christmastime is here. I am unapologetic in my love for this season. The lights, the ribbon, the glitter… this holiday literally shimmers. No matter what you celebrate during the months of November and December, it’s a joyous time for all.
Among the many things I love about Christmas, I particularly adore the feelings that it brings. It feels so hopeful. I can’t explain why or how; it simply does. There’s just something about this holiday that makes you think anything is possible.
As wish lists are being crafted and gift shopping has already begun, I ask you, what do you want this year? Think beyond the material things. If you could make a wish for anything in the world, what would it be?

For most of us, honestly, we don’t need another new watch or sweater. Many of us need something more. We need peace in our homes. We need love in our hearts. We need hope that next year will be better.

I am thinking that if we all be of service to each others needs (not wants) we would be so much stronger in our belief that life is wonderful. I am seeing the 7 deadly sins of the world taking it’s toll on us all.

I am wishing for a miracle – more love, peace of mind, faith and fullfillment next year so that I can quiet the grelims in my mind and be all that I can be.

The transmission went out in my van in October so I had to use November’s rent money to fix it. My son and I both lost our jobs in November and can’t pay Nov. or Dec. rent. If I don’t come up with $725 by 12/31 we will lose our apartment. I am hoping that the SSA will finally grant my husband’s disability, (he is a stroke survivor with blood clots in his leg and can’t work), so that we can avoid being homeless and living ion our van.

Our family is very blessed and our home is filled with laughter and peace. The only wish I have is that my son to hear back from the Marines and it be a “YES” that he can join.
