I was left teary-eyed at the end of this episode. I am a Muslim, but not all the legal schools of Islam label dogs as unclean. I have a dog and two cats. It’s a shame that they left a 16 year old beagle at a shelter (farm). This is really an Arab cultural issue and is not Islam that is the problem. Even though Shadia complained of allergies it was never evident on film.

This is ridiculous. PETA has the right to advocate for safe environments for animals, which includes freedom from abuse, harmful scientific experimentation, and hunting animals to the brink of extinction. However, this is a direct infringement on people’s personal and religious opinions, especially since PETA targeted the Muslim community based off of individual action. I watch the show. The dog was left at a safe place – end of story. Not everyone in the world is going to share the same view, and shouldn’t be put on blast just because of that. And that’s what PETA has done. Had the episode shown a Christian individual who considers dogs to be unclean and who just “isn’t a dog person,” I’m willing to bet that PETA never would’ve even thought to bring the issue up. The organization gets more ridiculous every year. And by the way, I’m not Muslim or Arab.

I think the Muslims had better remember that if it were not for dogs, and their herding instinct, we would probably still be hunting and gathering.

What’s telling here is that this woman didn’t complain about the much-loved dog until AFTER the marriage. If she had issues with the pet (medical, or otherwise), she should have made her feelings known, before vows were exchanged.
She’s cold-hearted and manipulative – and he’s in desperate need of a spine. Islam has nothing to do with it.

The writer of this article nor PETA seem to understand that Muslims hate dogs. Mohammads teachings specifically calls for dogs to be killed. Mohammad considered black dogs to be Devils. Google Islam and dogs and you will be amazed at how the backass religion treats dogs. And the very scary thing about this article is the husband converted to Islam. How stupid is that?? I also wonder if TLC will do a story on the father that killed his daughter for not wanting to marry some old Iraqi dork her parents picked out for her. The father claims it was an honor killing. EVERYONE should demand TLC to show the true face of Islam.

Walking slightly ahead of Noor, Khalaf glanced to her side and saw a gray jeep bearing down on them. Faleh was in the driver’s seat. Khalaf saw him turn the wheel sharply and head toward her and Noor. She made eye contact with him, throwing her hands in the air and yelling, “Stop!”

Faleh kept going, plowing into the women and speeding off. Khalaf never felt the impact. She awoke on the ground to strangers huddled over her.

Khalaf couldn’t see Noor, gasping for breath as blood gushed out of her mouth. The jeep had rolled over her. She suffered a head injury and multiple facial fractures, among other injuries. She never regained consciousness.

Why doesn’t this TLC show the true face of Islam. This relgion abuses dog because Mohammad did not like dogs. He did not like women either, and this is what you end up with in this insane religion. Forget the dog, look how this religion treats people. Fathers killing thier own daughters, how sick is that??

This past week, a Phoenix jury convicted an Iraqi Muslim (not a terrorist) of killing his daughter in 2009 by deliberately running her over with a car. The reason: The 20-year-old college girl refused an arranged marriage, had her own boyfriend and had become too westernized. Question: Why choose to live in a western society if being westernized is so horrible?

In 2008, a ‘moderate” Muslim man from Jonesboro, Ga., strangled his own daughter to death in her bed with a bungee cord because she wanted a divorce from an older man who she was forced to marry.
In 2009, a model “moderate” Muslim man, who owned a New York television station meant to portray Islam in a positive light, murdered and beheaded his wife for wanting a divorce. Ironically, he was only convicted of 2nd Degree Murder, though it was clearly premeditated.
In 2008, a “moderate” Muslim shot both his teenage daughters to death for dating non-Muslims. He fled the country and is still at large.

and so on and so on until someone shows the true face of this religion, Quit sticking your heads into the sand people!!

Dogs are such loyal and trustworthy animal and a friend. Muslims should treat all animals with respect including dogs.
On the other hand in America when a new couple’s home it has been said the dog or husband. Usually the dog goes.

Just because this dog incident took place in the Muslims in America people are so sensitive to the issue.
When 10 million dogs and cats are euthinized each and every year.
So far 52,000,000 Kids have been aborted, there are better things to pay attention.

I am sorry I really can’t get over the the idea of Muslims torturing dogs like they do in Afghanistan. Sure it happens in other countries, but what other religion condones such things. When a creature is so loyal and helpful to humans it seems a great and dishonrable betrayal.
